Just got my 911 back from the shop - proper job done - marenwalsh - 09-01-2026 Thought I'd share a quick win because I know how stressful it can be trying to find someone who actually knows what they're doing with these cars. My 991.1 had been developing this weird hesitation under hard acceleration that was really starting to bug me and I'd tried a couple of places already with no joy. Ended up finding a workshop through a recommendation from a guy at the track and honestly I'm proper chuffed with the result. They diagnosed a vacuum leak that was throwing everything off, replaced the offending hose and did a full health check while they were at it. The car feels better than it has in months now, pulls cleanly all the way through the rev range and the idle is silky smooth again. If anyone's curious about where I went, I stumbled across exoticautoservices.ae/porsche/porsche-repair-abu-dhabi/ when I was researching and that's what led me to give them a shout. They clearly knew their way around the flat six and didn't try to fob me off with any nonsense. Proper mechanics who actually care about getting it right which seems increasingly rare these days. Anyway just wanted to put that out there in case anyone else is dealing with similar niggles. Always good to share when you find a decent place. |
