New job in ICAD means I need to find a detailer nearby - marenwalsh - 09-01-2026
So I just started a new role over in the ICAD area and honestly the commute has been brutal, lots of dusty roads and construction traffic which means my Cayman is getting absolutely filthy on a daily basis. I used to have a regular spot back where I was living before but it's just too far to drive there and back now, especially with how crazy my work schedule has been lately. I've been driving around during lunch breaks trying to scope out what's available in the area but most of the places I've seen look like they're set up for commercial vehicles and trucks rather than sports cars, which makes me pretty nervous about taking my car there. I'm not after anything crazy like a full paint correction or PPF installation right now, I just need somewhere that can do a proper wash and maybe a light polish every now and then to keep the paint looking decent. I've been trying to figure out where to book a professional Porsche detail in ICAD because it would be so convenient to drop it off before work and pick it up after, rather than having to use my weekends for car maintenance. The problem is I don't want to just take it to any random place and end up with scratches or water spots from improper washing techniques, I've worked too hard to keep this car in good condition. If anyone works around that area and has found a reliable spot that actually understands how to take care of a Porsche properly, please share the details because I'm getting desperate here. Even if it's a bit further out but still reasonably close, I'm open to suggestions.
