So my 2018 Mini Cooper S has been acting up lately, and I'm pretty sure the battery is on its last legs. The start-stop system has been getting really sluggish, and a couple of mornings I've had that dreaded slow crank that makes you hold your breath. I'm based in Jumeirah Village Circle and I'm trying to avoid the dealer prices if I can, but I also know these cars are super sensitive when it comes to electrics. I've read that if you don't get the battery properly registered, it can mess with the energy management system and drastically shorten the life of the new one, which I really don't want to deal with. I don't just want a quick swap from a general garage; I need someone who understands the BMW-based systems and will do the diagnostics properly, especially since the heat out here just cooks batteries in a couple of years. Has anyone around JVC or the nearby areas had a good experience somewhere that feels honest and knows what they’re doing? I was checking online for an expert Mini Cooper battery service in Jumeirah Village Circle but it's hard to tell who actually has the proper diagnostic tools versus just a generic jump-starter. Any recommendations for a place that won't leave me stranded again in a few months would be massively appreciated.
