So I took my 2019 Wrangler out to Al Qudra last weekend for some dune bashing, nothing too crazy honestly, just some moderate climbs and a few bowl runs, but ever since I got back I've noticed this high-pitched whining noise coming from underneath when I'm coasting in 2H at around 60-80 km/h. It doesn't make the noise when I'm accelerating or when I shift into 4H, which is really confusing me and making me think it might be something specific to the transfer case or maybe the front differential not fully disengaging like it should. I've had Jeeps for years and I'm pretty handy with basic maintenance, but this one has me stumped because I can't pinpoint exactly where it's coming from and I don't want to just start throwing money at it without knowing what's actually wrong. The car still drives fine, no vibrations or clunking, but that whine is persistent and it's driving me crazy every time I'm on the highway heading to work. I've been reading through some off-road forums and it seems like this could be anything from low fluid levels to worn bearings in the transfer case, but obviously I need someone who actually knows these vehicles to take a proper look before I end up causing more damage. A buddy at work told me he had a similar issue with his JK a few years back and he found a Reliable Jeep repair workshop in Musaffah that sorted it out for him without charging an arm and a leg, but he couldn't remember the name of the place which is super frustrating. I'm hoping someone here might have experience with this specific issue or can point me in the direction of a shop that actually understands the ins and outs of the Wrangler drivetrain, because I really don't want to trust this to a general garage that might not have the right expertise or parts access. I'm planning to get it looked at this weekend before it potentially turns into something more serious, so any recommendations or advice would be massively appreciated.
